A commercial vehicle wrecked after the driver asleep on Interstate 5 late Wednesday night.
An Oregon State Police report said about 11:50 p.m. the accident occurred while the vehicle was headed northbound near Oakland. The driver said he drifted onto the shoulder and into the ditch. The driver tried to correct the vehicle when he woke up, but said it was too late. The CMV came to rest in the ditch with the front of the truck partially blocking the slow lane.
The driver was not injured.
